to My Family & Friends from Africa- Joyeux Noël from Elder Masse - December 23, 2013

Dear Family & Friends,

I wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas during this happy season! I know that we are far away at this time, but the Spirit of the lord is close and he loves each of us. I feel that love from each of you and I wanted to tell each and every one of you that I love you and wish you a "Joyeux Noël"! I know that I have not had much correspondence with many of you, but I wanted to thank each of you for your prayers and for that you gave my in helping me to prepare for my mission. I know I have been out for some time now, but I wanted to thank you for the contribution that each of you gave and the sacrifices that have been made on my behalf whether they be physical, mental, or spiritual. Heavenly Father answers our prayers and he listens to each of us.

In my small corner of Africa everything is going well! It's hot, I sweat every single day, but I continue on! Heavenly Father has blessed me greatly with this opportunity and I am grateful that I was called to serve in this part of the world. It is wonderful to see the change in the people that I have grown to love so much. They are wonderful. Africa is truly an amazing place and I have hundreds of stories to tell!

Again, I love each of you and hope that you are doing well. I am happy and content. I hope that each of us would take some time this Christmas season to reflect on who we are and where we are going. We are truly blessed and Heavenly Father loves us.

Je vous aime plus que vous m'aimez! Je vous souhaite un joyeux Noël! On se verra bientôt!

Que Dieu vous bénisse!

Avec amour,

Elder Massé

  1. Dear Elder Masse,

You probably don't even know me, but we have been in the ward 8 years now and have been fortunate to have shared the e-mails your Mom has forwarded. It has been a delight to read of your mission and has added to an already strong testimony I have of the Savior.

Sacrament meeting was lovely with the testimonies shared by family members of the missionaries out from our ward and the Christmas songs they particularly love that were so beautifully presented. It was one of the classiest Christmas meetings I've ever attended. It was fun to hear your brother speak French when he presented your contribution.

Know the whole ward is rooting for you and wishing you a happy new year.
